Moree Activity & Referral Centre
We provide support to the Moree Plains Shire and Inverell.
The Moree Activity and Referral Centre will provide programs, advice and referral pathways to youth under the aged 12-25 years.
Funded by Community Builders we aim to build the capacity of and opportunities for people to engage in a wide range of social, economic, cultural, recreational, learning and civic activities. It also includes supporting the relationships and networks that result from these activities.
Young Mother's Group Mums and Bubs
Course designed by TAFE and supported by Moree Family Support to provide young mothers and their babies with learning opportunities using practical activities.
Mums and Bubs is a course for young parents. It is a practical activity based course with learning experiences for both mothers and their children. You will learn about keeping your child healthy and happy while gaining new skills.
Goal setting, self-esteem, planning for the future,
looking after yourself, childhood, reading and storytelling, group discussions,
cooking, budgeting, practical tips and ideas.
Each week a guest speaker from relevant community (where possible)
organisations will come and talk with the group from 10:30am to 11:00am. The
guest speaker will bring along brouchers to support the visit, brouchers and
are then placed into a portfolio to be given to each participate at the end of
An enrolment form from Tafe and Moree Family Support will
be given to each new participate to complete.
Home Work Club
Operating from Moree Secondary College Moree Family Support assists with child well-being and positive learning outcomes. Afternoon tea is provided.
